John McEachran, VP, Operations
John joined ZBD in 2007 and is responsible for Operations, including suppliers and sub-contract manufacturing. His main role is to deliver a robust, high-yielding, cost-effective manufacturing process. John has an MSc, in addition to 30 years’ experience in high-volume, high-tech manufacturing within the semiconductor and display industries. He began his career in main-stream silicon with National Semiconductor, then moved to Amkor Anam before being responsible for DRAM manufacturing at Fujitsu. Moving into compound semiconductors, he played an integral role in starting up the Filtronic GaAs facility and then the InP facility at Kamelian. John then moved into micro-displays and was responsible for establishing the MicroEmissive Displays’ production facility in Dresden. In addition to Manufacturing, John’s key skills include Project Management, Quality Management and Global Supply Chain, with extensive experience in establishing sub-contract and supplier relationships in China. |
