Shaun Gray, CEO Shaun joined ZBD in June 2008 and has over 25 years’ experience at a senior level in IT Technology and Services. After studying Business & Computer Studies in Southampton, he later undertook the entrepreneurial programme at Babson Executive College, MA.

Shaun has worked in corporate environments at De La Rue and Siemens, the latter as VP international business development for the German parent across various businesses including retail, financial services and professional & outsourcing services. Shaun established several businesses in the USA from pre-revenue including its global alliance with Unisys serving the retail and banking sectors, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. He was part of the management team that returned the $1billion Financial Services Division to profitability.

In the last 12 years’ Shaun has successfully brought his corporate experience to managing investor-backed operations including Rebus, Inceptor, Dione & Trintech – the latter two, where he was responsible for successful exits as CEO. Dione, the payments systems business, was a widely recognised turnaround of an insolvent business to sector-leading growth and profit margins, culminating in a successful $112m exit for its lead investor GE Equity. The highlight was moving from a product-oriented company to a highly successful solution and services provider.

Shaun has also acted as advisor to a number of public and private businesses and has been involved in over 20 corporate transactions.
