ZBD, the epaper for retail specialist, today announces that Tony Pusateri, an experienced retail technology professional, has joined the US team as VP, Business Development. Tony will head up US operations, identifying market opportunities with major retailers and spearheading ZBD’s growth within the American market.

Tony has over 25 years experience serving both retail systems integrators and retailers focused on supermarkets, mass merchants, department stores, and convenience store retail verticals. He joins ZBD from Retalix’ US subsidiary StoreNext Retail Technologies, LLC where he served as Business Development Manager responsible for dealer channel programs serving the USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, Caribbean, and targeted Latin American markets. Additionally, Tony managed several key partner relationships including IBM, Fujitsu, Datalogic, ScanSource and Pricer.

Tony brings more than twelve years experience in electronic shelf labeling and display technologies to ZBD having served as Vice President, Operations and Product Development for Pricer AB’s US subsidiary Pricer, Inc. overseeing business operations and retail deployments with a number of Tier 1 retailers. He also launched an ESL program for StoreNext Retail Technologies, LLC focused on independent supermarket owners and regional chains.

Tony has previously worked as In-Store Systems Manager for Smitty’s Super Valu, Inc. and was also a key member of the electronic store systems group at Jewel Food Stores developing retail solutions that drove a chain-wide scanning rollout.

On joining ZBD, Tony said, “Historically, the US market has been slow to adopt electronic shelf edge label technology, but the tide is turning. Many US retailers are looking seriously at electronic shelf edge labeling and we’re seeing more ESL companies attempting to enter the market.
