US retailers develop appetite for latest generation of electronic shelf labels
30 April 2010
ZBD was overwhelmed by demand from US retailers attending the recent Techpoint event who wanted to understand the best way to build a business case for ESL in their businesses.
Tony Pusateri, VP, Business Development, ZBD, USA, said, “The ZBD solution generated a lot of interest from the retail attendees. We had a great mix of retailers in our boardroom briefing, from supermarkets to consumer electronic retailers. It was a great opportunity to present our range of products and solutions to such a wide variety of retailers, and establish that each one had a business case for ESL.”
The next stage of the event was a series of one to one consultations, where invited participants in the boardroom briefing could attend a private meeting. “Before we had had a chance to send out our invitations, we only had two slots out of thirteen remaining, as the retailers were so interested to talk to us.” Said Pusateri. “I’m delighted by the response, as it demonstrates a real appetite for our solution. The retailers that we spoke to had identified a requirement for ESL, and wanted to understand more about our product, in a one to one session. We were able to discuss their individual business case, talk about the anticipated ROI, and evaluate how deployment would benefit their organizations.”
“The event provided a platform for the retailers present to give us feedback and we received a high level of interest, scoring higher than the event average.”
Techpoint connects leading retail and supplier executives, to leverage technology for innovating business solutions.
