Zero infrastructure
The beauty of ZBD’s wireless epaper solution is that there is no need for a network of transmitters or receivers to be set up throughout the store, or metres of cabling. ZBD’s solution is totally wireless, so implementation results in minimal disruption to stores.

Bounce Communicator
A single Bounce communicator device (no larger than a laptop battery pack) located in the back office is all that’s required to update (two-way) every epop in-store, no matter how large the store.

The Bounce communicator is a lightweight, robust and maintenance-free device measuring just 140mm x 100mm x 35mm that simply plugs into a USB port on the back office PC or through ethernet to provide store-wide coverage. This results in a low total cost of ownership unlike other ESL products on the market.

RF Communication
ZBD’s technology uses a secure, license-free RF (Radio Frequency) band that enables 2-way communications between the Bounce Communicator and every epop. Advantages of RF include:

• No wires or cabling need to be installed
• Low total cost of ownership due to hardware being inexpensive to install and maintain
• Reliable store-wide coverage with one communicator
• Fast, secure and reliable

Bounce comes complete with a comprehensive software application to enable high-level integration with multiple data sources (SQL Databases, CSV, excel flat files) or a low-level API (Application Protocol Interface) for systems integrators. System resilience and recovery is built into the system to make communications a hassle-free part of the solution.
